Draw your everyday key map

List the shortcuts you actually use and mark the keys involved on a layout sketch. Note where unfamiliar positions interrupt your work. Try a small reversible software change before assuming different hardware will solve the problem.

Keep the finished note with its date and source material. Return to it when you repeat the exercise, and add what changed rather than replacing the earlier observation.
